You are my Shell

You are my Shell   You and I, we're walking through a street that's filled with lights that reflect the theme of the restaurants. It's a food Street and I'm surprised to find the place very unusual. Anything you ask, they’ve got it. The place is really clean and the road is quite small, full of flat stone tiles. There are lights in an arch above us Looking to my left there's a hotel. A girl says, “I need a sweet and cold witch hat.” And in a few seconds, a platter is ready with a long black upside-turned ice-cream cone on a large black currant ice cream scoop with sprinkles and toppings that resemble a scary, come live witch face I ask you to go see a nice place and settle and that I'll check this red-themed hotel and come. I walk forwards towards the shop. There is a white fat friendly-faced person who asks, “What do you want?” Behind him is a TV where the "Minute to win it" show is playing. I think for a minute. He looks at me. Then I hur...

What is love?

What is love? Love is an ocean; vast and limitless It has no borders, it has no outline  It is full of life, it is full of sustainability,  It is bottomless and has infinite levels On the surface, It looks appealing, calm, and glorious Its waves, swaying gracefully and pleasingly   Dip your finger in it and you will enjoy the chill tingle  Dip your hand and you’ll love the way it flows  It is the void, it is the missing piece That your unsolved puzzle of a heart needs  To complete the perfect picture    Go a little bit into the waters  And you will find it pulling you gently and deceivingly By its smooth tides   A whole adventure lies cruising ahead Gentle breezes, flowing above, touching the waters The waters jumping in a rhythm as an elegant ballerina   You are the captain, your partner is the ship Everything is perfect and in control, When there is harmony between the captain a...

The Lone Blue Bird

The Lone Blue Bird   Clear blue sky Tall great trees A few full of yellow blossoms The leaves moving To the rhythm of the breeze A lone bird high in the branches The forest is as quiet as night The bird hops from one branch to another Looking for company It gazes over the horizon Not to find a soul Looks like she’s an alien At her own home Can time change things Well we never know But for now It’s the lone blue bird

To Kill an Ebenezer

To Kill an Ebenezer   Have pretty curly hair that springs A young smooth face with a clear-cut jawline A slim figure, shorter than me I can turn back a million times to catch a glance Wear some heavenly perfume Apply lots of scented talcum Bring a fine long coated cat along Hold a bunch of exquisite strong fragrant flowers The smell of which makes the flowers prettier Offer me some quenching cold water With water droplets emerging from the glass Like the fresh dew at dawn Buy me an ice cream to ease the heat The cold sweet subtle flavours Boosting my dopamine Take me to a mountaintop To view the heavens and the earth and to Enjoy the strangling hold of the mesmerizing chill air around I’ll be the happiest soul on Earth But it’s a double-edged sword All the things I love are all the things that can kill me

The Questioning Period Diary

The Questioning Period Diary   Why are people so disgraced by its glory? Is it the blood? Why do people shy away? Why are people’s mouths shut and voices lowered when this becomes the topic? A Private talk turned Secretive. It is the glory of a healthy woman. The power bestowed to raise another life. Why does this topic still linger in the darkness? Just another biological process just like how the bone marrow produces Red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets. 50 percent of the people go through this and the other 50 are completely unaware of it. It’s completely different from the sanitary pad advertisements. When you go to buy an expensive car like a Mercedes, don’t you learn about all the cool features, the luxury elements, the splendid specifications? Learning about your body before fitting into it is something all kids should get. Young girls, on the steps of the teenage door hitting puberty, having their first period, completely unaware of what lies ahead in the big w...

Whitey

Whitey At that time I was 10 and in my 5 th  grade. I studied in a boarding school in Tamil Nadu, and I had come for my annual holidays to my home. My home was in Jharkhand at that time. My parents were managing a school that they were running for the tribal kids. It was a long 4-day journey by the train. My sister and I were accompanied by an escort who was basically a colleague of my parents. We had several other students from our school traveling all the way north. My sister and I were really quiet kids, we stuck to our books, comics, and novels and watched the free television outside our train’s window. We had just arrived at our home but our parents weren’t home. The tribal staff who were working in the school got us some breakfast. I heard the screeching sound of the gates and the vrooming sound of the jeep. I knew my parents were entering the campus. I sprinted out and dashed to the gate. I was overjoyed to see my parents. They looked the same from when I last saw...
