Why do you need God?

Why do you need God?

You are a ship.

Built in the harbour with care.

At a certain stage, you are set for sail into the sea.

You have a destination to reach.

Your life is the voyage.

Life at the sea is not easy

The obstacles are numerous, and help is scarce.

You need help, but whom can you rely on? Another Ship?

The other ships have their resources to meet their own needs.

I know who you should rely on

The maker of the skies, and the waters.

He can harness the strong winds so that you sail with ease.

He can direct the currents for you to sail towards the right destination.

I lift up my eyes to the Lord where does my help come from?

My help comes from the Lord, the maker of heaven and earth.

The Biography of Eternal—the Tree Who Gave.

The Biography of Eternal—the Tree Who Gave. 1998, November 23 Today is my birthday. The earth feels damp, and a soft drizzle kisses my skin. I poke out of the soil—a fragile sprout. Everything is new and far too bright. A jolly cricket hops nearby, whistling cheerfully. I smile without knowing why. I don’t know who I am yet. Just a tiny green stick. My arms—leaves, I suppose—flutter when the wind passes. I am alone, but it doesn't feel lonely. The air smells of possibilities. 1999, March 14 Spring wakes me up. The frost that once numbed my sap is gone. I stretch upward, my first tiny branch growing proud. A butterfly lands on me today. Her wings were the colour of sun and flame. I think I fell in love for a moment. Is that possible? To fall in love with something you know you’ll never see again? 1999, September 2 A little girl comes running through the grass today. She’s barefoot, laughing, chasing dragonflies. Her name is Angel—I hear her mother call for her. She not...

What is love?

What is love? Love is an ocean; vast and limitless It has no borders, it has no outline  It is full of life, it is full of sustainability,  It is bottomless and has infinite levels On the surface, It looks appealing, calm, and glorious Its waves, swaying gracefully and pleasingly   Dip your finger in it and you will enjoy the chill tingle  Dip your hand and you’ll love the way it flows  It is the void, it is the missing piece That your unsolved puzzle of a heart needs  To complete the perfect picture    Go a little bit into the waters  And you will find it pulling you gently and deceivingly By its smooth tides   A whole adventure lies cruising ahead Gentle breezes, flowing above, touching the waters The waters jumping in a rhythm as an elegant ballerina   You are the captain, your partner is the ship Everything is perfect and in control, When there is harmony between the captain a...

A Sunday Morning

A Sunday Morning   A sweet fragrance of fellowship in the air Friends holding hands in worship Swaying to the music, praising God Families together in one accord Students gathered in one mind A lovely band with meaningful songs The pastor speaking on the greatest miracle   A once fervent follower of the bible Who for the past few years Spent my time at church checking On my phone every 5 minutes.   After a really long time Listening to god speaking through people. God’s presence is real It can be felt when, Your mind is open, heart is clear, And your spirit is ready to listen. “Speak Lord for your servant is listening”   For long, I swayed to the tune of the world Sometimes the waves were high, lighting me Other times the earth swallowed me And I was left among the rubbles. No order, discipline or purpose for long   With God, his leading and guidance, The disturbed troubled water is perfectly sti...
