Another Lonely Day

Another Lonely Day

Another day,
Another lonely day.
All by myself,
Alone at the back of the class.
In the end,
It’s the sobbing kid in the corner,
With no one to console,
No one to understand,
The mouth turned dumb
In fear,
The trauma that was long gone,
All gushing back to take its rightful place,
To take away the boy’s peace, his voice, his dignity.

All grown up now,
Still a child on the inside.
The silence is the comfort,
The tears feel like home,
I’m finally where I belong.

Giving love to everyone,
Because I received none.
People have all their assumptions,
Which I don’t really mind.
Not a lot of haters,
But the ones who hurt,
Are the ones who are near.
