The Practical Battle Between Job and Joy
The Practical Battle Between Job and Joy
My Dear Friend, if you are at a stage in your life, where you are at crossroads and you don’t know what Job to choose, this article is the perfect thing you need. You might have heard a lot of suggestions from your teachers, parents, family, and strangers. They would have told you to avoid a certain option or to pursue one, and now you are confused.
This is the time you have to carefully prioritize what you need, and what would make you happy. Imagine you take a job you have no interest in and you choose it just because it has good pay, or someone forces you to, every day would feel like a week, you will have no interest in what you do and you will not like the atmosphere you are in. That makes your job no different from a prison you are trapping yourself in just to keep you going.
Instead, if you choose to pursue what you love and what brings you Joy, then every single day will seem to go by very quickly because you enjoy what you do. The environment you are in would just be perfect for you to work in, you can be more productive and above all comfortable in your workspace. But that’s not all, there’s more. Even if Saturday becomes a working day, you’ll be happy to go to work. Mondays will be just as fun as Sundays. Every day will seem like a vacation. You might not even take a day off because your job is your vacation and your avocation.
In short, Get a job that brings you joy every day of the week. Even if it's a Monday morning.
If you get a job for the money, you can still experience joy, but only on the day, you receive your salary.
You might still have some confusion. The most common reason for your dilemma is, you give yourself a lot of options. Give yourself just one option and the one that you are confident with. You don’t have to stick to the norms, try something new, choose a path that is off the beaten track.
Spend a lot of time thinking about what would make your soul happy and keep you interested in the long run. It can be a simple job but shouldn’t it bring you joy? At the end of the day shouldn’t you be happy?
